Gravesham's Commonwealth War Graves Services
The Commonwealth War Graves Commission ensures that 1.7 million people who died in the two world wars will never be forgotten. The Borough of Gravesham has over 300 First and Second World War Commonwealth War Graves across seven churches and two borough cemeteries.
As part of the Council’s plans to mark the Centenary of the First World War all of the borough’s Commonwealth War Graves will be marked with a memorial cross and each location will carry out a short public service as detailed below. The services are free and open to anyone to attend.
